Position Details:
- Work Location: 877 Perry Rd., Plainfield, IN 46168
- Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, start time 2PM until completion of shift (approx 10:30PM)

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Night Warehouse Manager to oversee outbound warehouse operations during the night shift. This role is responsible for the execution of order selection, staging, and loading operations to ensure accurate and timely shipment of customer orders.
The Night Warehouse Manager leads supervisors and warehouse associates across a high-volume shift and is accountable for labor planning, operational execution, safety compliance, employee development, and overall shift performance. This position works closely with transportation leadership to ensure loads are completed accurately and dispatched on schedule.
The operation is expected to experience significant growth over the next 12-18 months, requiring a leader who can effectively manage change, develop frontline leadership, and drive operational performance in a fast-paced, unionized distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience in high-volume distribution operations and a demonstrated ability to deliver results while maintaining a safe, productive, and accountable workplace.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day outbound warehouse operations including order selection, pallet staging, trailer loading, and shift execution to ensure accurate and timely shipment of customer orders.
- Lead and develop a team of 4-6 supervisors and 50+ warehouse associates through coaching, training, performance management, employee engagement, and accountability initiatives.
- Drive operational performance through active management of productivity, service, quality, safety, and labor cost metrics.
- Manage labor planning and staffing requirements to support fluctuating business volumes, seasonal demand increases, and customer service expectations.
- Ensure effective execution of voice-directed order selection operations while maintaining productivity and accuracy standards.
- Partner closely with Transportation leadership to ensure outbound loads are completed accurately, dispatched on time, and aligned with delivery schedules.
- Monitor workflow throughout the shift and make real-time operational decisions regarding labor deployment, priorities, and resource allocation.
- Conduct routine floor presence and operational audits to identify obstacles, remove barriers, and improve execution.
- Lead investigations involving safety incidents, operational issues, policy violations, and associate concerns while ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up.
- Administer company policies, corrective action, attendance management, and performance accountability in a consistent and professional manner.
- Foster positive employee and labor relations while maintaining compliance with applicable collective bargaining agreements and company policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase productivity, improve service levels, reduce costs, and support operational growth initiatives.
- Support operational expansion efforts through effective change management, workforce development, and execution of new processes and business requirements.
- Conduct safety observations, reinforce safe work practices, and drive a culture focused on accident prevention and continuous improvement.
- Ensure warehouse equipment, facility conditions, and operational resources are maintained through coordination with maintenance and support teams.
- Collaborate with Inventory Control, Transportation, Safety, Human Resources, and Customer Service to resolve issues and maintain operational excellence.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, food safety requirements, regulatory standards, and operating procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse outbound operations, order selection, shipping workflows, labor planning, and productivity management in a high-volume distribution environment.
- Proven ability to lead large teams through supervisors while maintaining accountability for operational results.
- Experience managing labor productivity, attendance, performance management, and employee relations matters.
- Working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), labor management systems (LMS), and operational reporting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational metrics and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make effective decisions in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations, best practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through change, drive continuous improvement, and achieve operational objectives.

• High School Diploma or GED required.• 5+ years of warehouse leadership experience in a distribution, logistics, foodservice, or supply chain environment.
• 3+ years of experience directly managing supervisors and large hourly workforces.
• Experience managing operational KPIs including productivity, service, quality, safety, and labor expense.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-volume warehouse operations.
Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.• Experience working in a unionized distribution or warehouse environment.
• Experience interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements.
• Experience with SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS) and labor management platforms.
• 7+ years of progressive warehouse leadership experience within foodservice, grocery, or distribution operations.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
• OSHA-related safety training and experience managing powered industrial truck operations.
