Position Details:
  • Starting Pay: $25.00 per hour
  • Work week: Sunday - Thursday
  • Hours 3:00PM until work is completed. must be shift flexible
  • THIS POSITION WILL BE AT THE 171 BUILDING.

Primary Responsibilities:
As the Warehouse Lead, you are responsible for the overall safety, productivity, and efficiency of employees within their assigned area(s) during the assigned shift. You will oversee employees and monitor workflow to create efficiencies throughout day-to-day operations. You will help lead the culture through ensuring that the warehouse is providing Core-Mark customers with superior service and quality. A successful candidate will have effectively demonstrated an ability to supervise, lead, and communicate effectively to multiple warehouse employees. This individual should possess strong attention to detail, dedication to safety, and drive to provide quality throughout their work.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Communicating with Warehouse Supervisor and employees at the start and throughout each shift.
  • Ensuring that consistent practices and policies are followed.
  • Fostering morale and encourage teamwork, pride, and quality performance.
  • Monitoring supplies levels at stations for start of shift and directing replenishment efforts.
  • Ensuring that all equipment is in proper working condition.
  • Leading a safe work environment, handling reports, and communicating situations in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that employees have received proper training and arranging for training as needed.
  • Monitoring the security of assigned.
  • Performing all task in compliance with safety policies and practices.
  • Communicating with Warehouse Supervisor of progress and completion of assigned shift duties.
  • Maintaining records of materials and items received/distributed.
  • Fulfilling paperwork for assigned area.
  • Restocking pick locations as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) certificate.
• 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position
• Intermediate knowledge of warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office (word, Excel, etc.)
• Ability to perform administrative work; including data entry and paperwork processing
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Intermediate mechanical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to disperse information to the company and across the warehouse
• Ability to analyze data, review the operations information, and make suggested changes.
• Ability to be able to get certified to operate powered industrial vehicles.
• Ability to learn and use electronic warehouse management software.
• Physical ability to regularly lift, carry, and position: up to 10 lbs. regularly, up to 25 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
• Physical ability to handle objects, tools, and/or controls.
• Physical ability to stand for a significant period of time and walk continuously.
• Physical ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, or crawl.
• May require the ability to operate and/or be certified on various powered equipment.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment which will expose the incumbent to a variety of noise and potential extremes in temperature.

Preferred qualifications:

• Prior Supervisor or Lead experience
