Position Summary:
The Scrum Master / Business Analyst - AI & Business Analytics plays a critical role in translating business needs into data, analytics, and AI-driven solutions while enabling agile delivery. This individual contributor role partners closely with business leaders, product owners, data scientists, and analytics teams to define requirements, prioritize value, and ensure analytics and AI initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes.

In addition to serving as Scrum Master, this role acts as a lead business analyst-driving discovery, requirements definition, and insight generation to inform AI models, dashboards, and decision-support tools.

Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Value Definition (Primary Focus)
  • Partner with business stakeholders to identify, define, and document analytics and AI use cases aligned to strategic goals
  • Translate business problems into clear epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for analytics and AI teams
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and backlog refinement focused on business outcomes and decision enablement
  • Define success metrics, KPIs, and value hypotheses for analytics and AI initiatives
  • Validate delivered solutions against business needs and expected outcomes
AI & Analytics Collaboration
  • Work closely with data scientists, analytics engineers, and data platform teams to clarify requirements, data needs, and assumptions
  • Support teams across the analytics and AI lifecycle, including data sourcing, feature engineering, model outputs, and insight consumption
  • Ensure analytics solutions are interpretable, actionable, and aligned with business workflows
  • Promote responsible AI practices by incorporating explainability, governance, and risk considerations into requirements
Scrum Master & Agile Enablement (Secondary Focus)
  • Serve as Scrum Master for analytics and AI delivery teams, facilitating agile ceremonies and ensuring effective sprint execution
  • Remove impediments related to scope clarity, stakeholder alignment, data dependencies, or decision latency
  • Coach teams on agile best practices with an emphasis on value delivery, flow, and continuous improvement
  • Support release planning, dependency management, and roadmap execution
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
  • Act as a primary point of contact between business stakeholders and agile delivery teams
  • Communicate progress, risks, insights, and outcomes using data-driven reporting and storytelling
  • Use sprint metrics and analytics outcomes to inform decision-making and prioritization

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, Scrum Mastery, or a hybrid role
• Strong experience translating business requirements into analytics, reporting, or AI solutions
• Working knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean)
• Proven ability to facilitate stakeholder discussions and drive consensus
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics initiatives
• Scrum Master or Business Analyst certification (CSM, PSM, CBAP, PMI-PBA, or equivalent)
• Experience defining KPIs, dashboards, and analytics-driven decision tools
• Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and model risk concepts
• Experience working in scaled agile or matrixed enterprise environments
