The sanitation manager is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and hygiene of a facility. Here are some of their key responsibilities: developing sanitation protocols, compliance, inspecting and evaluating, managing staff, equipment maintenance, resolving issues, waste disposal, health and safety audits, inventory management.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create and implement sanitation policies and procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Ensure the facility meets local, state, and federal sanitation regulations.
- Regularly inspecting the facility for cleanliness and adherence to sanitation protocols.
- Coordinate and manage sanitation staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee the safe and effective use and maintenance of sanitation equipment.
- Investigate and resolve sanitation-related issues promptly.
- Establish and ensure compliance with waste disposal procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential risks.
- Order sanitation supplies and managing inventory.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards

• Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related field.• 5-7 years related experience
• 6 months - 1 year Supervisory or management experience
• Experience in various sanitation roles is crucial to understand the workflow and challenges.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is often required.
• Ensuring thorough cleanliness and hygiene.
• Efficiently manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Effective communication with staff and management.
• Understand sanitation protocols and regulations.
Preferred qualifications:
• Food Protection Manager Certification• Registered Sanitarian
