Job Description:

Green Rabbit, recently acquired by Performance Food Group and working under their Vistar Retail Segment, is a cold storage facility and we are looking for a 2nd shift Outbound Lead!
Schedule is five days a week Sunday/Monday - Friday 6:00AM - 2:30PM.

Position Summary:

Oversees and provides guidance to the warehouse crew under direction of warehouse manager/supervisor, maintain warehouse work areas, assists with shipping and receiving functions in a timely manner, observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Set-up and maintain line equipment, monitor the process, direct, facilitate and assist production line personnel with the preparation and packaging products observing all safety regulations and ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Coordinate Production personnel work for immediate area. Assist in Production personnel training. Relieve Production personnel for breaks. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.
  • Coordinate daily outbound activities including picking, packing, and shipping orders.

  • Ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time to meet customer expectations.

  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and adjust resources as needed to maintain throughput and productivity targets.

  • Train, coach, and support team members to maintain performance and compliance with standard operating procedures.

  • Monitor outbound inventory accuracy, report discrepancies, and assist with cycle counts or inventory audits.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with food safety and OSHA standards.

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and other departments to resolve issues and improve workflow.

  • Serve as a role model for safety, quality, and productivity on the warehouse floor.

  • Assist with documentation, system updates, and KPI tracking as requested by leadership.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

1-2 years of warehouse and/or distribution environment

Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position

Able to work in a multi-temperature environment (dry, cooler, freezer)

Must be able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift

Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout shift

Pass pre-employment drug test

Basic computer skills to include MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

2-4 years of warehouse and/or distribution environment using forklift and/or pallet jack

Team Lead experience

Administrative support work experience

Warehouse systems experience i.e. Voxware, scanning, AS400, formula based pay plans

Foodservice distribution or related industry experience

OSHA Forklift operator certificate
