Position Summary:

Provides support for all Customized logistics activities. Supports the Manager, Logistics for administering the freight-sheltered income program while ensuring timely delivery of inside collect and backhaul shipments. In addition, enlists and qualifies various carriers and manages the claims and pallet recovery programs. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Planning, Optimizing and Execution for all Customer Pick Up (CPU) routed orders including Backhauls.
  • Review daily purchase orders to build optimal consolidations to achieve maximum revenue.
  • Work with Operating companies and multi-unit team to grow logistics program.
  • Freight Claims Overages, Shortages and Damage (OS&D): Processing, Investigating, Documenting, Filing, including Collections, if necessary.
  • Updating freight system data files; carrier rates, supplier information, OpCo direct Bill back, Emergency Transfers, Release #, etc.
  • Freight invoice payment processing; auditing, validation, tracking, entering & submitting carrier invoices.
  • Generates and posts specific reports created in the freight system for backhaul and logistics loads to provide financial tracking for each of the operating companies.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

1-2 years' experience in procurement, logistics and / or administrative experience in related area.

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

2-4 years' experience in procurement, logistics and / or administrative experience in related area.
