Position Details:
Maintenance Technician
- Shift: Sunday- Thursday 11pm - 7:30am (could flex when helping out team)
- Pay: $26 per hour
- Location: 439 Park Loop Rd. Shepherdsville, KY 40165
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing facility and production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. Safety is the number one priority in all work performed. The technician must follow all company safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Safety
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform and verify Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures before servicing equipment.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work safely at heights up to 40 feet using approved fall protection equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install conveyor systems.
- Perform conveyor belt lacing and splicing on narrow and wide belts.
- Replace and repair power rollers, bearings, shafts, pulleys, and related components.
- Install, modify, relocate, and remove conveyor systems.
- Diagnose and repair conveyor drive systems and drive cards.
- Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems ranging from 24V control circuits to 480V power systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Repair and replace motors, sensors, relays, contactors, switches, and control components.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment and machinery.
- Perform welding, fabrication, and metal repairs.
- Repair and replace motors, gearboxes, chains, sprockets, bearings, and mechanical components.
- Perform equipment installations and modifications.
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration equipment and systems.
- Repair and maintain dock doors, dock levelers, and associated equipment.
- Perform light plumbing repairs including toilets, sinks, faucets, valves, and drain systems.
- Perform general facility maintenance as required.
- Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other powered industrial equipment.
- Work from elevated platforms and aerial lifts when required.
- Maintain certifications and training as required by company policy.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders.
- Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse environments preferred.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
- Experience with welding and fabrication.
- Understanding of LOTO procedures and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Forklift and scissor lift operating experience preferred.
- Refrigeration experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet.
- Must be flexible and willing to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and equipment failures.
- Assist with facility improvements and special projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform any other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Preferred qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent1- 2+ years maintenance and repair or related area
6+ months experience with conveyor systems and controls
Certifications: OSHA Forklift operator certificate; HVAC certification; welding certification, electrical certification
