Schedule: Monday thru Friday from 7:00 am-4:00 pm

Position Purpose:
The DOT Compliance Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies related to fleet operations, driver qualifications, and safety standards. This role ensures accurate recordkeeping, timely reporting, and proactive monitoring of compliance requirements to reduce risk and support operational excellence.

Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and maintain DOT compliance records, including driver qualification files, medical certifications, and motor vehicle reports (MVRs).
  • Track and schedule required training, drug and alcohol testing, and license renewals for drivers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of compliance data into internal systems and DOT-required platforms.
  • Conduct regular audits of driver files, logs, and vehicle inspection reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of DOT reports, including CSA scores, IFTA filings, and accident registers.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Communicate with drivers and managers regarding compliance requirements, deadlines, and corrective actions.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local DOT regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with safety and operations teams to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Assist in investigating and documenting DOT-related incidents or violations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Education
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

Work Experience:
• 1 - 3 Years
• 2-4 years of experience in DOT compliance, transportation administration, or fleet operations.

Required Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems (TMS) or compliance platforms.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred qualifications:

Preferred Education:
• Associate's Degree/2-Year Technical associate or bachelor's degree in business, transportation, or related field preferred.
