SUMMARY:The Warehouse Training Supervisor is responsible for job specific training for each department at Core-Mark International Distribution Center. The Supervisor will ensure all hires are fully and properly trained on the department's equipment, SOP's, and KPI's prior to the associates release to their assigned role and supervisor.

Lastly the Supervisor will lead training programs to optimize comprehension, foster career opportunities, and the team's engagement and experience. The Training Supervisor determines and escalates any roadblocks in the training program to their director report.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

People, Onboarding and Training Supervision
  • Oversees training of all new and tenured operations associates quarterly
  • Organize, direct and coach direct reports in their development and continued improvement of warehouse operations
  • Conduct performance reviews when required
  • Establish work priorities, delegate work to direct supports, and ensure deadlines are met and procedures are followed
Ongoing Responsibilities
  • Develops, implements and monitors standard new hire operation procedures for warehousing
  • Monitors warehouse associate productivity/quality in accordance with the standards developed by the operations group
  • Develops and implements action plans (e.g. facility/equipment improvements) designed to improve warehouse associate productivity/quality


Required Qualifications

SKILLS/ EDUCATION/

REQUIREMENTS:

Skills: Proven background and experience training associates

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience a/o training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language: Ability to read, print, and speak simple sentences. Recognize similarities and difference between words and between series of numbers. Must be able to read product codes and information quickly and accurately.

Mathematical: Ability to add/subtract 2-digit numbers and multiply/divide 10's and 100's.

Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Must be able to recognize malfunctions in equipment and notify supervisors.

The associate must regularly lift a/o move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift a/o move 25 lbs., and occasionally lift a/o move up to 60 lbs.
