Position Purpose
The Battery Technician is responsible for maintaining and replacing industrial batteries used in warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other battery-powered machinery. This role ensures that all batteries are charged, swapped, and maintained safely and efficiently to minimize equipment downtime and support continuous warehouse operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Replace and install batteries in warehouse equipment according to established safety and maintenance procedures.
- Monitor battery charge levels and charging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect batteries for corrosion, leaks, or damage and report any issues promptly. • Maintain accurate records of battery changes, maintenance activities, and battery inventory.
- Ensure proper disposal or recycling of used or damaged batteries following company and environmental guidelines.
- Perform basic cleaning and upkeep of battery charging stations and related equipment.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements when handling batteries and related materials.
- Assist maintenance or operations staff with other basic support tasks as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma/GED orEquivalent Experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, maintenance, or industrial setting
• Basic understanding of electrical safety and mechanical operations.
• Ability to safely handle heavy equipment and follow detailed instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer or handheld device skills for data entry or logging activities.
