Senior Technical Accountant

Responsible for addressing technical accounting questions and developing technical accounting guidance that is responsive to questions or new business scenarios within the organization including, but not limited to, research, implementation of new pronouncements and guidance, review and update of policies and procedures, and issuance of accounting bulletins. The Senior Technical Accountant will assist in the SEC reporting process and draft footnotes, including those related to technical accounting matters, in addition to reviewing Form 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy and 8-K filings. This team member will develop and lead the implementation of accounting policies, including the implementation of new accounting standards, specifically major accounting guidance changes in revenue and leases. The Senior Technical Accountant will act as a liaison with external auditors to ensure timely sign off of technical accounting matters. Additionally, the successful candidate must have the ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization and effectively present complex technical accounting matters to executive management in an easy-to-understand manner.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field plus 3 years of experience as a Senior Technical Accountant, Investor Relations Accountant Liaison or related occupation. Must have CPA certification or international equivalent. Demonstrated experience with researching, interpreting and applying FASB/GAAP to complex accounting issues; able to identify, document, and communicate accounting policies, bulletins, white papers, policy recommendations and accounting memorandums resulting from new business, changes in existing business or issuance of new rules by the various accounting standard setting and regulatory bodies; experience in participating in the SEC reporting process, including drafting and reviewing of the Form 10-K, 10-Q, Proxy and 8-K filings; participation in acquisitions integration (purchase price allocation, valuation reports, and accounting systems integration) and review and analysis of acquisition agreements for technical accounting treatment; and preparing presentation materials for high level executives. Must have legal authority to work in U.S. EEOE.
