HR Assistant


$16 an hour plus full benefits

HR Manager


Full Time, Regular, Somewhat Flexible Schedule, Some Overtime

Essential Functions:

  • Address employees’ inquiries regarding company policies, procedures and HR Programs.
  • Recruiting for all open positions
  • Support the recruiting efforts by maintaining the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), collaborate with HR Manager to create open positions postings, post positions on the ATS, participate in phone screens, conduct pre-employment screenings, schedule in person interviews and communicate results to the HR Manager
  • Work with HRIS to ensure accurate data is in the AS400 systems as well as My Core Career (UltiPro).
  • Enter new hire information into the HRIS/payroll system, prepare new hire information, maintain orientation material, give suggestions on improvements, facilitates all facets of orientation.
  • Support the annual open enrollment period, maintain proper forms, collect completed forms, enters information into the HRIS/payroll system.
  • Support in maintenance of the HR infrastructure to ensure compliance of Federal, State and local regulations.
  • On-going maintenance of the Employee Files, both electronic and hardcopy in compliance with company, federal and state regulations.
  • Assist in calculating and preparing manual checks requests.
  • Respond to and complete employment verification and pre-employment screening (background checks and drug tests).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Read, write, and speak fluent English
  • Strong customer service focused oral and written communication skills over the phone, internet and in-person
  • Strong attention to detail, thoroughness, and the ability to analyze information quickly
  • Ability to manage projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to contribute and shape a positive dynamic culture in the department and company.
  • Ability to relate and communicate well with all levels of employees from direct reports to management
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to perform basic math skills

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree in related field or equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • 1-year HR experience is preferred
  • Proficient with computers and internet
  • Intermediate knowledge/experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Chrome
