Sales Development Representative (SDR)
IN-DIRECTLY REPORTS TO
General Sales Manager
Based out of Milton, Ontario but working in the assigned sales TerritoryEastern Ontario. (Ottawa to Belleville to Cornwall to Petawawa)
Permanent Full time Monday-Friday
Competitive base salary, including company-paid fuel card for business use and a monthly vehicle allowance and cell phone.

As a Sales Development Representative you will call on select chain and Independent customers executing planned Merchandising services. Occasionally required to provide vacation coverage for other Territory employees.
Create sales growth through selling deeper to existing customers and when required prospecting new customers.
Call on assigned customers on a consistent and timely manner.
Execute planned sales call that includes customer interaction, store planogram set ups and maintenance, product date rotations, fresh date checks, fresh cooler program development, seeking sales growth opportunities.
Report anytime you are not able to meet the expectations.
Complete all daily reporting requested to track the execution of the role.
Customer service liaison between customer and Core-Mark always representing Core-Mark in a positive and respectful manner.
Wearing appropriate Core-Mark attire provided.
Reporting any customer service concerns to the Territory Manager when required.
Wearing safety vest on required calls.

Utilize Tablets “Droid Pads” or your cell phone to track, conduct and submit daily Merchandising surveys and all sales calls.
Utilize provided Droid Pad/Tablet to access on line “cloud”, “One drive” or “drop box” guidance and tools to execute daily merchandising calls.
Merchandising calls will include: store surveys gathering specific facts and submitting via excel documents, rack by rack product backfills, planogram checks, plano realignments, expiry date code checks, destroy spoils, credit/claim support , promotional activity set ups & tear downs.
Maximizing visibility and positioning of products in the store
Reviewing company policies & procedures with customers
Support Process of returns and credits
Check for back stock and ensure perishables are dated
Stage merchandise in appropriate aisles
Rotate stock according to date
Place and display any promotional displays
Remove any garbage or totes
Clean Smart Stock Racks
Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities are wide spread and may vary call to call or week to week, training & guidance always provided. You are a key part of our customer relationship and represent Core-Mark. Your professional manner and business execution is a critical part of helping the company meet and exceed the expectations of our customers and other vendor partners.
Notify your Manager at any time you feel Core-Mark may have a concern or liability of any kind.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Having valid driver’s license, insurance and vehicle Monday to Friday during core business hours
Responsible for the tools and materials provided to execute the job.
1 year retail or direct customer contact experience would be beneficial but not mandatory.
Ability to plan an efficient geographical daily route using a customer list provided. (Google Maps, GPS, etc.)
Basic abilities with MS Office Applications.
