Warehouse Worker (Second Shift)

  1. Essential Functions

    1. Totes
    2. Verifies and prepares totes via TOTE PREPERATION WORK INSTRUCTIONS.
    3. Compares identifying information to verify information matches PTL and other records
    4. Affixes identification labels to totes
    5. Examines selected orders to ensure shipments meet company specifications and standards
    6. May operate tier-lift truck (must be properly trained via company approved program) or use hand truck to move product
    7. Performs general warehouse material handling duties as assigned
    8. Interaction with PTL/DCMS (Pick to Light) via a UI (User Interface) equipment
    9. Uses simple hand tools such as retractable utility knife, to perform job duties
    10. Completes all required paperwork
    11. Assist in AIB verification
    12. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
    13. Safety
    14. Observes all safety rules and regulations; exercise care and good judgment at all times to prevent accidents and injuries
    15. Report all incident/accidents/injuries immediately to leadership
    16. Housekeeping
    17. Follow 5S/AIB rules for workstation and other common areas in the facility
    18. Maintains safe and clean work environment with mindful thoughts and actions in housekeeping keeping habits (ie picking-up paper, debris, etc in work area, aisles, and common employee areas as you move through the facility); Properly collect and disposes of waste following established guidelines
    19. Flexibility
    20. Must be flexible with work schedule and task changes
    21. Be prepared to work overtime daily as needed
    22. Company and Corporate Responsibilities - Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules and Core-Mark General Warehouse Policies
  2. Skills and Abilities

    1. While performing the duties of this job Associates are required to:

    - Regularly stand, sit, walk, climb stairs and work at heights from floor to 30 feet high

    - Frequently lift and shift boxes weighing an average of 1-50lbs with a maximum of 65lbs throughout a full shift of work

    - Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, hands and legs. Moving of whole body to lift, reach, grasp, balance, and stoop when handling warehouse materials for an extended period of time and/or an entire work shift

    1. Manual dexterity for operating equipment/machinery
    2. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
    3. Ability to:

    - Speak clearly and actively listen

    - Read, comprehend, and carryout all work instructions

    - Write simple correspondence

    - Ability to count

    - Careful attention to detail

    1. Work effectively in a team environment
    2. Work autonomously and maintain productivity and service level standards
    3. Be reliable and have good work attendance history
    4. Possess a positive attitude with a work ethic of the highest degree
