Position Summary:
Core-Mark is looking for a Junior Recruiter to join the Human Resources team at the Clackamas Core-Mark and own recruitment primarily for our open positions, especially our warehouse, transportation, and merchandising teams. This person will partner with departments to ensure we are following proper recruitment practices and that our new employees have a smooth start to their new role. They will also focus on working closely with Hiring Managers to bring a diverse pool of qualified candidates to our team. Compensation: Up to $29.00 per hour DOE
Position Responsibilities:
- Owns relationship with hiring managers and HR; takes a consultative approach to sourcing and setting strategy in order to identify top talent for current and future needs
- Leads intake meetings with hiring managers to identify requirements of the role, as well as the individualized needs of the departments and hiring managers
- Sources potential and passive candidates through social media, direct outreach, and relationship building
- Networks and maintains relationships with key talent communities for active and passive opportunities
- Manages correspondence and relationships with identified universities to support the corporate college program
- Interviews and evaluates candidates in a timely manner while always providing a positive candidate experience
- Screens applicants, conducts phone screens, and makes in person interview recommendations to hiring managers
- Extends offers within approval and set guidelines, coordinating the candidates background check and drug screen
- Schedules and hosts new hire orientations weekly
- Ensures candidate tracking is up to date and compliant in ATS (Ultipro/UKG) and maintains HRIS database, including onboarding new hires in the system
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills & Experiences:
- Recruiting/sourcing experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to take initiative and build strong relationships with others
- Ability to multitask in high volume and fast paced environment efficiently and effectively
- Flexible and adaptable with focused time management skills
- Strong sense of professionalism & Integrity
- Comfortable with conflict-resolution
- Positive-minded and motivated
- Ability to de-escalate stressful situations
- Skilled with computers and able to quickly adapt to new systems
- Proactive, driven, able to work independently with multiple demands
- Must be able to prioritize time effectively and be reliable.
- Must have an above average computer literacy.
